# Changing name on EPF account mandatory after marriage?

Hi,

Employee changes name in aadhar card after marriage, So is it mandatory for changing the name on the EPF account also or in next job change?

Yes, employee has to update his/her personal details under EPF. It is mandatory to link with Aadhaar too.

Also adding, if the change is made in the PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, and bank account then the subscriber has to change the name mentioned for the EPF account. On the other hand, if the name isn’t changed in any of the aforementioned KYC documents, then there is no need for change in name for the EPF account.
