Hi Team,

Good Day!

We have our registered factory under factories act and we got the factory license for the same.

Currently we are looking for a warehouse for rental purpose to store our materials.

We are planning to place the below team there.

  • Stores people for material movement,
  • Quality team for material inspection,
  • Packing team for spare parts packing.

Now my doubt is, do we have to register that warehouse under some act?

If yes, then under which act and the procedure please.

Hi Udhai,

For Warehouse, the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007, and the corresponding Rules govern the registration and other procedures.

You will get the Act, Rules, and all relevant information from W (D&R) Act, 2007 - WDRA.
