Are Special Allowance and Dearness Allowance different?
What if company do not provide dearness allowance?

DA & Dearness Allowance are different.
DA as per Cost of Index will vary
Special Allowance is any allowance given in addition
DA very rarely used in the private sectors. But Special Allowance for the sake of reducing Basic splitted and to reduce Bonus, Gratuity & encashments etc.

They are different.
You have to comply with minimum wages. That’s all. No need for separate Dearness Allowance.
