Can Apple Mail open hundreds of EML files at once?

I recently migrated some email data from an old Windows computer to my MacBook. Most of the exported messages are stored as EML files. My goal was to quickly review everything before organizing the archive, but importing each file individually into Apple Mail became frustrating.
