After moving from Thunderbird to Outlook, I realized Outlook doesn’t support MBOX files. I have a large mailbox with multiple folders and attachments, and I want to convert everything to PST without losing data. What method would you recommend?
I faced the same issue when I moved from Thunderbird to Outlook. The problem is that Thunderbird stores emails in MBOX format, while Outlook only supports PST so the files can not be opened directly.
I first tried the manual method by importing my MBOX files into Thunderbird and moving the emails to Outlook. It worked for a small mailbox, but it became slow and difficult when I had multiple folders and attachments.
For a larger migration, I switched to DataVare MBOX to PST Converter Expert. It converted my MBOX files to PST in bulk and my emails, attachments and folder structure stayed intact. That made the migration much easier and saved me a lot of time.
My suggestion is to back up your MBOX files first. If you only have a few emails, the manual method is fine. But if your mailbox is important or contains a lot of data, a dedicated MBOX Thunderbird to PST converter is the more reliable option based on my experience.
