An Office 365 account can be exported to a PST file either via Outlook or using an Office 365 export utility. If your mailbox is small, Outlook’s export feature works fine, but it can be slow because the mailbox must be fully synced first.

In my situation, I had a larger mailbox and required the PST file in a shorter time period. Downloading all the folders from Outlook took up time, which I could not afford, nor did I want any interruption during the exporting process. That’s why I used WholeClear Office 365 Backup to PST.
