2 posts were split to a new topic: Is HRA for expats exempt from PF?

There is no minimum PF contribution prescribed under the Act. The contributions @ 12% are payable on the basis of salary/wages by the employee and 12% is to be contributed by the employer.
PF is payable on Basic Wages and all other allowances which are not specifically excluded in the Act.

@NarayanaK Sir, We are deducting EPF contribution on threshold limit of 15k for all employees irrespective of their salary. Now two employees requested for deducting EPF on their full basic salary. Please advise if we can oblige their request and deduct EPF contribution on full basic salary for 2 employees and on 15k for other employees.
