Mr. Vineet’s last assignment in the Corporate World was in the Middle East where he was Chief Human Resources Officer for around 6 years with the largest private university, having 1000 employees from 60 different nationalities. Prior to shifting to the Middle East, he was the ‘Founding Member’ of Tata Sky in India where he was instrumental in setting up HR from scratch for them. As a Certified Coach (ACC, ICF), Vineet also practices in the areas of Career Coaching, Performance Coaching & Executive Coaching for leadership profiles across various countries. Currently, Vineet is handling multiple assignments in the areas of Talent Development and Assessment, Organization Design, Performance & Rewards Consulting & setting up of HR Processes.

The biggest ask today’s workforce has is about freedom to choose. There is no one size fit all. It depends on the kind of workforce you have. Some want fun, some want socializing.
We have to move from an ‘output’ to an ‘outcome-driven’ approach. Therefore flexibility (within the reasonable limit of course!) to choose to work and operate from their choice of place can be a good start.
Start small say by giving flexibility of one day per week as per employee choice. Thereafter it can be evaluated further
Hello Sir, What steps can we take to ensure that our employee benefits and work-life balance initiatives are inclusive and accessible to all employees?
Today childcare is the co-responsibility of both parents as families are becoming more nuclear due to urbanization. In that case, parental leave should give them an opportunity to plan their family along with their careers (without feeling guilty).
I think more than parental leave (which is one time), organizations must create work schedule which gives them the freedom to plan their tasks which fits well in their overall family commitment
I think a lot of work already happening in the area of physical health. However, a lot needs to be done in the area of fitness (which can be clubbed with employee engagement to have better acceptability). Regular comprehensive “Preventive Health Checkups” can be another area to focus on. To further add, awareness programs are needed to keep employees informed about health-related information on a regular basis
