Based on my experience with several banks, sharing my personal views.

Basic needs should have

  • Zero balance account
  • Easy account opening procedures
  • Zero/Low Maintenance charges
  • Good support
  1. HDFC - Largest private bank in India, more no of ATM’s and good online portal, Mobile app and good support.
  2. SBI - They have an exclusive option for Corporate Salary Package which offers wide range of privileges.
  3. Axis Bank - They have varied offering depending on the salary slab. Some features like Personal Accident cover, Zero Lost Card Liability are attractive.

There should be common Features of these salary accounts and below are the proposal.

  1. Zero or Minimum balance accounts
  2. Free IMPS, NEFT* and/or RTGS** transfers (electronic payment systems maintained by RBI) with no additional charges.
  3. No Annual fees
  4. Personal Loan facility and Good Customer Service

Citibank Suvidha Salary Account
Axis Bank Prime Salary Account
SBI Corporate Salary Package
