For the employee, if their future company want to do a background verification and need a reference person to contact, who would be best suggested? Reporting manager, HR person…

We should do ref check from both

HR - Will be able to provide the Hard-facts wrt Joining, Salary, Designation, etc.

Reporting Manager - Will be provide the details on the job, team work, skills, etc
