Do we need to go for ESI, If the Employee gross salary is 20K and the company is providing health insurance?

Looking in to another scenario as below do we need to still go for ESI
If the Employee gross salary is 20K and the company is providing health insurance to

  1. Employee alone
  2. Employee and family

ESI is a statutory benefit. Therefore, even if Medical insurance is being provided, ESI benefit has to be given.
