Hello everyone, if an employee get a salary increment and his/her basic crossed 15K, then eps is mandatory or voluntary??
Not compulsory. However, if the employee is already a part of PF in continuation to this FY… you cannot stop it for this year or atleast till October as per laws.
Best is to keep it ongoing and stop contributing from next FY…

Dear Santosh,
Once the employee is covered under EPS, he will continue to be covered under EPS even his PF wages exceeds Rs.15,000/-

If s/he has EPS contribution before appraisal/increment then he will be a part of it after increment also.

Mandatory. Once an employee has been enrolled in EPS, than the company has to contribute on Rs 15000/- , irrespective of her basic salary
