can IJP happen in the same department? Like if I am promoting anyone from associate level to the supervisory level after interviewing ? I have heard IJP’s can be from one department (profile) to some other department (profile). Is it correct? Or should we call it " internal promotions"

IJP(Internal Job Posting) allows existing employees of the company to opt for a different role or higher position in the same or different department if they meet a certain criteria. Ideally, even if you want to promote an employee, he/she should apply for the IJP published and complete the process that has been defined.
