Hi,

We have a scenario- Employee paid insurance of spouse via his credit card, Can that be considered?

The taxpayer can claim deduction under section 80C in respect of the premium on the life
insurance policy paid by him during the year. The deduction is available in respect of policy
taken in the name of the taxpayer, his spouse and his children.

Same should not be claimed bu spouse

Hi @MadhuPR

Yes, it can be claimed as the payment is made and invoice for the same is generated. As said by @Bharath either Husband or wife only one can claim.
