Hello all,

Need suggestions. Is New Year a public holiday or Restricted Holiday?

HI Ramya,

Yes, there are several states which have declared the New Year’s day as a public holiday.
It is also a bank holiday.

But in some states they are mentioned as optional too, please look into the state Holiday list once for reference.

Hi @RamyaV

New year depends on the preference given by the local govt. changes state by state.

Example: TN has it as a General Holiday but in KA it might be considered as RH.

Please do refer to your holiday list as per the state
