Professional Tax cannot be reimbursed or claimed back. This is paid to the Government.

Hi Jyoti,
Professional tax is a mandatory tax deducted by the employer and remitted - and it’s a non-refundable tax. Just to clarify- IT has a declaration mechanism and certain protocols to claim the refund too - but this is not the case in PT.

Hi,
a. Profession Tax is not refundable to an Employee in any case. Employer deducts on behalf of Employee and remit it to government.
b. Employer incase of Excess Payment can claim for Refund via Adjustment of Excess amount in another period
