What is the Roles & Responsibilities of a HR Business Partner in a mid-sized IT company?


Responsible for designing, driving & implementing HR Strategies that develops company culture which helps in making Company a Great Place to work and enables employees to perform in tandem with company goals.

  1. Effectively plan, design, develop and evaluate HR strategies, systems, procedures and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

  2. Manage the entire Recruitment and Selection process right from Manpower Plan & Budget as per Operational requirement till Selection, Onboarding & Training of an Employee.

  3. Design & Implement a competitive Compensation & Benefits package to attract and retain top talent.

  4. Strategically Design, Implement and Monitor KRAs & KPIs across the organisation and recommend employees for various in-house training programs.

  5. Implement and Manage a Performance Management System that drives high performance.

  6. Nurture a positive working environment via innovative Employee Engagement initiatives.

  7. Report to management and provide decision support through various HR Analytics like High potential Turnover Rate, Retention Rate, Attrition Rate, Net Promoter Score etc.

  8. Creating & Implementing mechanisms (via Culture Wallet, Google Forms, Peer discussions, etc) to collect perodic feedback/suggestions from the employees across the organisation and recommend constructive suggestions to management.

  9. Act as Bridge between Management & Employee; Implement strong robust Employee Grievance handling mechanisms and resolve the employe disputes amicably.

  10. Implement functional cloud based HRIS and internal databases across all departments and locations

  11. Ensure legal compliance framework; Maintenance of record & registers and timely filling of Returns under various Labour Laws & Acts.
