Can anyone suggest Is Children Education Allowance applicable for an Adopted Child too?

Hi Nagaraj,
The need for adoption would arise only when one cannot become a biological parent of a child or when one intends to give a good life to an orphaned child out of compassion. When the adoption is formally done under the personal law of the individual, it becomes his child for all purposes. Children’s Education Allowance is not an exception.

There are legal formalities to be completed for Adopting a child, as @Umakanthan Sir said, if it’s legally completed, then the Child becomes yours and all the eligibility gets covered from there on.
