Avaada Group, a renewable energy powerhouse, is preparing for a workforce surge, with ambitions to increase its employee count by 300 per cent in the next 24 months. Vineet Mittal, the chairman and founder of Avaada, announced their employment plans in an interview with a media house.
The group currently has a devoted workforce of roughly 700 professionals. The hiring plans are in line with the company’s expanding ventures in solar panel manufacturing and green hydrogen activities with a goal to onboard 2000 to 3000 new recruits in the next two years.
The news comes as the group receives 1.3 billion dollars in funding, making waves in India’s renewable energy landscape. Brookfield Global Transition Fund invested 1 billion dollars, and Global Power Synergy Public Co contributed 233 million dollars.
The company currently has an operational renewable energy capacity of 4 GW, with an additional 3 GW under construction. Avaada, on the other hand, aims to increase its renewable energy capacity to 30 GW by 2030.
As part of the central government’s PLI scheme, the company has already secured a significant production-linked incentive of 961 crore for a 3 GW wafer-to-module capacity.
