Employee Breach of Contract

One of my employee, resigned and submitted her laptop which was provided by the Company. While data cleaning we came to know that she was also working as a freelancer during business hours and working for another client using the Company development framework.
How should we proceed in this case? What should I as an HR do?

After resignation you can’t do anything, IT person should check every computer and laptop on monthly basis.
You can mention your feedback in her relieving letter.

Agree to this - IT should have a stricter rule on the company laptops and even use of the network during office hours.

Hi its IT Dept responsibility to check company laptop on time to time basis. Since employee has resigned and left the organisation company cant take any action against her. As a HR we shouldn’t give positive feedback at the time of employment verification by other company. All I can say its totally responsibility of IT dept. not HR Dept.
