Can gratuity be calculated on employee actual joining date despite of company transfer date being different one? What points needs to be looked into if its possible?

If the Employee is transferred to different entities of same group, then his Actual DOJ (Time he joined the group) should be considered for Gratuity calculation.

Hi Sandeep,
Logically if an employee getting transferred under the same roof than actual DOJ should be considered. But again it depends on employer they may insist to make a new DOJ and commence the gratuity contribution accordingly.
You need to discuss the same with your management as employee may loose gratuity benefits if they provide new DOJ.

DOJ is 90% the case to be included. Until and unless there is a different policy prevails within the org. policy
