Employee passed away due to Covid-19

An employee passed away due to COVID-19, so we want to continue to pay the salary to his family. Can anyone let me know what is the way to handle this legally from the company side.


In my opinion, you can continue paying deceased salary to his spouse but not via regular payroll but as a consultant.

Legally it will not offend the statutory and labour laws.

Lets wait for other opinions on the same.
