Hi,

Will the employee be eligible for interest in epf account after leaving the job? Even after the contributions are stopped.

Hi,

An employee will get EPF interest on the available surplus for 36 months in case of not working or no EPF amount credited.

Post 36 months, it will become dormant or non-operative account. Interest income will be stop

True as said by @Arpana and @Ankit

36 months (3 years is the overall time) given for the account to reactivate and run again - be it joining a new job and linking the same or deactivate and withdraw.

If post 36 months inactive, then it will not attract any interest.
