Is there any upper limit on the amount of gratuity that anyone will receive?

There is no limit on Gratuity, however there is a limit on tax exemption at 20L.

there is no upper limit for gratuity. The exemption only provide at 20L maximum.

The revised upper ceiling on gratuity amount under the Payment of Gratuity Act is Rs. 20 Lakh which was Rs. 10 lakhs earlier

Some Employer can decide to pay Excess of 20 Lakhs and Gratuity paid over & above 20L will be taxable.
