Hold last month salary of employee and pay it with F&F


Is it correct practice to hold entire last month salary of a employee and pay it along with full and final settlement?
It is a practice or it can be given a valid reason?



It is only the industry practice. It is to cover for any loan/advance or damaged laptop cost etc. If everything is fine and Manager approves we can release the salary for last month.
