From 1st April, 2021, will the salary structure be changed?

If so, what are the changes?

Is it mandatory to implement or it is optional?

Hi,

Yes, from April 2021 onwards salary structures will change which is mandatory to implement and no an optional activity. The major effected areas are:

  1. PF- Will be increased.
  2. Gratuity will be increased
  3. Take home salary will be decreased.
  4. Overall employer liability will increased.

The rules have not been framed by the states… Accordingly the applicability date is not yet confirmed.

States have to come up with a draft guidelines and as of now only few states have framed a draft, so probably we need to wait and see, how during the 2nd wave it’s being dealt with.

Also just to add as of now there are some change in the Minimum wages for Shops & Establishment in Karnataka but nothing else in relation to Wage code or CTC structure.
