POI submission, Rental agreement expired during covid lockdown

Hi,

We have an employee question:

"Employee had a rent agreement for the rented house from June 2019 to June 2020. Covid lockdown happened and the agreement could not be renewed. Next, 3 months rents were paid. Currently employee has rent agreement till June 2020 and has paid rent till Sep 2020.
What are the best suggestion for employee’s options for proof submission? "

Please suggest the possibilities.

a. Rent Receipts along with Bank Transfer Statement for Period Jul to Sep.

Rental agreement on back date and rent receipts will be helpful

Hi @Anisha

True, rental receipts with valid bank statement (if required PAN of the landlord) should suffuce the need. In general during POI verifications rental agreements are not submitted or checked majorly until unless in specific cases.
