Should Insured amount be a part of CTC

Dear community,

We have covered all our employees under Group Medical Insurance recently. So, in their CTC do we need to add insurance premium amount which we paid (e.g. 8,000) or the insured amount (e.g. 5 lacs)? What is the norm? Please advise. Thanks.

Also will you please let us know which are the things comes under Employee Welfare? And can they be shown under CTC? Thanks.

Hi Shefali,

You need to mention the premium amount to the CTC and not the insured amount.

To be shown in CTC as an Employee Welfare may be:
Employer’s PF
Gratuity
Employer’s ESIC
Medical Insurance
Accidental Insurance
Leave Encashment
Performance Bonus.

Lets wait what others suggest.
