For employer to terminate an employee during Covid times, are there additional rules to be followed?

Hi,

There are no specific rules. Follow the Normal Rules of Termination as per various act applicable to your organisation.

Hi,

There is no special rule for terminating an employee under covid pandemic. As you must be aware in termination letter it is mandatory to specify the reason for termination. So, if termination reason would be due to covid impact on business you will be all safe as company can reduce their work force in pandemic due to loss of business or orders etc.

Government directives are there not to terminate during the pandemic.
