When does notice period of resigned employee start?

Hi,

I have a question on resignation and notice period dates.

When employee sends resignation mail on a particular day(e.g. 1st aug). When will their notice period start as per rules? From 1st aug. immediately or when it is reviewed and accepted by manager date?

Hi ,

Generally employee discuss about his resignation with his/her manager and then he resigns, which means from the day one which will be 1st Aug as per your above mentioned example.

Again resignation will be on Manager’s description whether he wants to accept it from the day one or effective after acceptance as it depends on KT volume too.
