We are a partnership firm in based in Mumbai doing sales and service of industrial equipment all over India. We have only 8 staff members in Mumbai and the rest of them are stationed in various states across India for providing service locally. Payroll accounting is done from Mumbai.
My query is : Is the Shop and Establishment Certificate applicable to my company in Maharashtra State as we have less than 10 employees in Mumbai?
In case you have less than 10 employees, certificate is not necessary. But a Shop act intimation form needs to be filled.
This will be sufficient till employee count increases.
