Floating Leave policy

Dear All,

We are planning to implement a floating leave policy in our company, i.e. declare 9 days of company holidays (4 statutory mandate holidays + 5 National festivals) and 2 floating holidays.

I am looking for guidance and best practices from those who have implemented this type of leave in their company. Kindly share your inputs.

We have implemented. We have declared 5 festive holidays out of which they can choose 2. It works out fine as work force is from different parts of India and everyone has some unique festivals to celebrate.
The rules are same as other leaves, they have to apply, get prior approval from manager etc.
