Hi,

We heard after marriage employees EPF and EPS nominations become invalid.
Is it compulsory to change nominee after marriage?

Hi Manjunath,

If the member have no family, he/she can nominate any person; but this nomination will become invalid if such member acquire a family.

So, a member by virtue of marriage, acquire a family, can nominate someone in the family.

It will be a good practice to update the nomination details as and when there is a change.

  1. Member has to give the names of Spouse and all children in the prescribed Form.
  2. In case the member has no family, one person can be nominated.
  3. However, such nomination will become invalid once the member acquires a family.
