Hi Community,

To measure employee absenteeism and productivity, What is the acceptable absence days number for an employee per year?

This absenteeism rate can be used for any time period. It’s ratio of number of days absent to number of available work days in given period.

Sort of on average, 4-5 is the number of absent days taken by an employee. So any number below that is acceptable. Whereas, absent days as high as 8 or 9 in a year would be considered completely unacceptable.

It is an interesting topic. Organizations set certain standards but not very sure whether covered under any labour legislation or not.
