Work flexibility if dependent covid positive

Is there any rule that allows employees additional work flexibility if there are their dependents who need extra care based on conditions?

Please advise on this.

Hi @Chitra

There are no rules separately on this or been notified by the govt.

But some companies give additional leaves to employees if their immediate family member is tested positive, and there is a situation where employee presence is required.

Likely 1 week to 15 days of leaves.

Like a continuous 7 days.

All these are inclusive of weekends (very similar to long leave or maternity or marriage leaves concept).
