Background:
- My first employer had submitted joint declaration for EPF DOE correction which was rejected stating employee is an EPS member but no contribution was made
- When I joined my first employer in 2014, I EPF wages were 15000 and I was eligible for EPS
- Employer didn’t contribute towards EPS by mistake but marked EPS joining/exit date on EPFO portal
- No other employer post my 1st employer ever deducted EPS. Post my first employer, my EPF wages were more than 15000
Current:
-I had raised grievance stating above & that I need to withdraw funds due to emergency at home and asked for guidance
-I received feedback to submit JD for EPF DOE correction, and you may also ask for EPS service deletion.
- I shared this feedback with PF vendor but they refused to follow stating that EPS needs to be contributed and removing EPS joining/exit dates and EPS service deletion will cause problems in future at time of withdrawal.
Question:
- Can we proceed as per EPFO reply and ask for EPS service deletion and removal of EPS joining/exit dates?
- since if we go for EPS correction in first employer, I have been told that EPS corrections to be made for all other employers too which will take many years and it’s been already 8 months with my first employer
