What are the mandatory documents that needs to be collected on the Day 1 Onboarding,
Also, what are the statutory forms that needs to be filled on Day 1.

a) S&CE
b) Factories Act
This is for Bangalore based.
@Seevanth Below given are the list of statutory forms to be filled at the time of on-boarding.
**Form 11-**This Form is mandatory for all employees whether an EPF member or excluded employee.
Form 2- This Form is only for EPF covered employees. As the EPFO has provide the facility of online Form 2. Employer and Employee must opt for that.
Form 1- This Form is only for ESI covered employees. This is a declaration Form, the only purpose is collect the details from the employee and use the same to make TIC.
Form F- This Form is mandatory for all employees. This is a declaration Form in which an employee declaration that in case of death who will get his/her gratuity.
Form I- This is mandatory for all employees. This is a Nomination and Declaration Form in which an employee declares that in case of Death who will get his/her earned wages.

At present No! but there are lot of 3rd party apps there in the market, but still they are all in the trial stage when it comes to implementation by companies.
It might be a common feature in the near future.
Can these statutory forms be digitally signed? Would that be okay or it has to be signed physically?

As of now some policy acknowledgments are digital and can be formally agreed.
But still some letters from HR to Employee are manually signed until a e-signature trends spreads, but covid has pushed everyone online and majority of companies now a days accepts docusigner.
Digital signatures are completely fine within the limitation of the org.
Both are Ok…Employers can sign these with Digital Signature as well as Employees subject to availablity of Digital Signature or manually.
