Hi All,
This is regarding the employment contracts that we prepare for employees. Pre-covid, when employees were in office, new joiners were given a hard copy of the employment contract and a employee signed hard copy was filed in HR records.
In current scenario, where we have more of remote working employees, should we courier the employment contracts to their respective locations or digitally signed contracts are also legal? Is filing the original hard copy of signed employment contracts mandatory?
Digitally via Zoho sign is also ok,

Send the document through the Docusign or sine desk or any related application for signature. ask the candidate to sign as a signature on PAN… digitally is valid.
Hi Yogita,
You can get the employment contracts e-signed or take an email confirmation as an acknowledgment. Both are legally valid as per the provisions of e-contracts under the contract laws of India.
For e-sign there are many service providers such as Adobe e-sign, DocuSign, Zoho sign, Signdesk and so on. Subscribing to any of them will help you to execute other contractual documents as well. The other party that has to sign your documents need no additional application to e-sign.
Hope the above helps.

Hi
Digitally signed contract is valid. We use Docusign and Adobe e-sign.
Also, we store /save the signed contract in GreytHR employee portal for their records.
No need to maintain the hardcopy.

Digitally signed contracts are also legal. But yes you should file the signed employee contracts. For remote working employees, you can take from the employee the acknowledge receipt of the digital contracts and file the acknowledgement with the contracts.
Thank you everyone for your comments. This really helps…
