Hi,

No, when you dont pay salary to an employee then on what basis you will deduct employer ESI. ESIC will take care if an employee on Maternity Leave.

Hi @mathisd9994

When an employee is under Maternity Leave ESIC for 26 weeks, ESI-Payment will be made to her Account directly by ESI.Consequently, during this period EPF or ESI contribution is not required.
