Form 3A submitted last month, funds not bifurcated to EPS

My previous employer has submitted Form 3A to bifurcate the funds to EPS account to PF office Thane. How long it may take my the PF office to bifurcate the funds to EPS account?

Thanks and regards,

Hi @ppriyankar,

The processing time for the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) office to bifurcate funds into the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) account after the submission of Form 3A can vary. Typically, such processes may take several weeks to a few months, depending on the workload and efficiency of the specific EPF office.

Given that your previous employer has submitted Form 3A to the Thane EPF office, it would be prudent to allow some time for processing. If you do not observe the bifurcation after a reasonable period, consider the following steps:

  1. Direct Inquiry: Contact the Thane EPF office to inquire about the status of your account.
  2. Grievance Redressal: Utilize the EPFO’s grievance portal to raise a formal complaint if necessary.
  3. Employer Follow-Up: Request your previous employer to follow up with the EPF office on your behalf.

Persistent follow-up through these channels can help expedite the process.

Hope this helps.
