Our company has LIC policy for employees. Will EDLI be part as well? How can we get an exemption on this?

Hi Anushree,
LIC and EDLI are two different things. Your company is providing LIC for employees is different than EDLI.
EDLI is a part of PF. In case of any PF member death EDLI will come into the picture. To get exemption under this you just need to inform EPFO and need to submit certain death claim documents to get the claim amount.

yes correct, both are different, LIC is the option. But EDLI is not the option.

Section 17 of the Act gives us Power to Exempt. You can study in detail and consult an Consultant for the same.
