In case of emergency, if Employee has to take leave on Saturday and Monday( Sunday is already week off). So, can HR in this case apply sandwich leave policy ?
Yes, if you have sandwich leave policy then here Sunday will also be included in that employee case and it would be total 3 day leave.
Decision in such cases mainly depends on the leave policy of the company. There is no clause in Labour Law of India related with sandwich leave policy.

We, in reliable Group, also follow the same pattern. We do not count sunday also if the employee is on the leave on Saturday and Monday.
