UAN seeding with Insured Person number in ESIC

As per ESI rules, seeding UAN has been made mandatory, while seeding UAN in ESI with a IP number I received an error stating that UAN is already seeded with another IP number.

When enquired with the IP, the outcome was unfruitful.

Need the help of the community to understand how to solve this problem.

Thank You

Hi @Rajath_Billava ,

When attempting to seed your UAN (Universal Account Number) with your ESI (Employees’ State Insurance) using your IP (Insurance Number), you encountered an error message indicating that your UAN is already seeded with another IP number. Despite your efforts to resolve the issue by contacting the concerned IP, you were unable to find a satisfactory solution.

In such cases, it is important to take the following steps to address the problem:

  1. Verify UAN and IP Information: Double-check the UAN and IP numbers you provided to ensure accuracy. Mistakes in entering the numbers can lead to errors and complications.

  2. Contact ESI Authorities: Reach out to the appropriate ESI authorities or your employer’s HR department to report the issue and seek assistance. Provide them with all the relevant details, including your UAN and IP numbers, and explain the error message you encountered.

  3. Request Resolution: Request the ESI authorities or your employer’s HR department to investigate the matter further and provide a solution. They may need to verify the existing IP number associated with your UAN and resolve any discrepancies.

  4. Follow Official Guidelines: Follow any specific instructions provided by the ESI authorities or your employer’s HR department regarding the resolution process. They may require additional documents or information to rectify the issue.

  5. Maintain Documentation: Keep records of all communication, including emails, letters, or any other correspondence related to the issue. This will be helpful for reference and follow-up in case further action is required.

It is important to note that the resolution process may vary depending on the specific rules and procedures of the ESI and your employer. Patience and persistence are key in ensuring the issue is addressed effectively.

Thank you for your detailed response. It was very helpful.
