Hi @GULSHANSIR ,
The error “VirtualId cannot be null” occurs on the EPF Employer Portal when attempting to add an eSign due to one or more of the following reasons:
Possible Causes and Solutions:
- Virtual ID Not Generated:
- Ensure that you have generated a valid Virtual ID (VID) for your Aadhaar number. You can generate this 16-digit VID by visiting the UIDAI portal.
- Use the “Generate Virtual ID” option under the Aadhaar Services section and ensure the VID is active.
- Incorrect Entry:
- Double-check that you’ve entered the correct 16-digit Virtual ID. Any typographical errors can lead to this issue.
- Virtual ID Expiration:
- A Virtual ID is temporary and can expire. Generate a new VID if the one you are using has expired.
- Technical Glitch on the Portal:
- If the Virtual ID is correct and active but the error persists, it might be a technical issue with the EPF portal.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, and try again. Alternatively, try using a different browser or system.
- Aadhaar eKYC Linking Issue:
- Ensure that your Aadhaar number is correctly linked with the EPF Employer account and eKYC has been successfully completed.
- EPF Portal Downtime:
- Sometimes, portal-related issues can cause such errors. Check the EPFO official website or contact their support team to verify if there are any ongoing issues.
Steps to Resolve:
- Generate or re-generate your Virtual ID (VID) from the UIDAI website.
- Re-enter the new Virtual ID on the EPF Employer Portal.
- Clear your browser cache or try accessing the portal from a different browser.
- If the issue persists, reach out to EPFO support through their helpline (1800 118 005) or lodge a complaint on the EPFO grievance portal (EPFiGMS) for further assistance.
Let me know if you need additional clarification!
