EPFO transfer rejected

Hi, Can someone please help me with the below message that I received after raising the grievance? Also please help me with what all steps should I follow next to resolve my issue.

Madam/Sir, with reference to the above grievance, it is informed that transfer in amount of Rs has not been received in current PF code <code_number> the same has been rejected due to EE and ER same EPS service available so you are requested to contact your previous regional office to re-credit the same.

@riktim97 The EE (Employee Share) and ER (Employer Share) of your PF transfer have been received or processed, but the EPS (Pension) portion could not be transferred.

  • The reason “same EPS service available” usually occurs when your previous and current PF accounts show overlapping service periods, or both employers have contributed under the same pension scheme period.
  • The previous EPFO regional office must recall (re-credit) the EPS contribution back into your old PF account before it can be reprocessed.

  1. Check your PF Passbook at https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in to confirm:
  • The transfer amount credited in the new PF account.
  • Whether the EPS contribution line item is missing.
  1. Contact your previous EPFO Regional Office (where your old PF account was maintained):
  • Visit or raise a grievance under “Previous Office - Pension Transfer Issue.”
  • Mention that your transfer was rejected for “EE/ER same EPS service.”
  1. Carry or attach these documents:
  • PF passbook (old and new accounts).
  • UAN card.
  • Form 13 transfer details (if available).
  • Copy of the grievance and rejection message.
  1. Ask the previous office to “re-credit” the EPS portion and confirm once they’ve done so.
  2. Once confirmed, the new office can process the transfer again.
