I was working with company which was closed during covid after that I have transfer the PF amount deposited by company .All the amount was not deposited by company. After that company later after 2 years it was deposited but now EPFO is not allowing to transfer the same as only one time you can transfer from one account to other .So what about my remaining of balance .How I can i withdraw.
Why This Happens
EPFO’s system allows only one transfer from a previous PF account to a new one linked with your current UAN (Universal Account Number).
Once the transfer is marked as complete, the old account becomes inactive, and any later deposit by the old employer doesn’t get automatically moved.
Your Options to Withdraw or Claim That Balance
Option 1: File a Withdrawal Claim from the Old PF Account
You can withdraw the remaining balance directly from the old PF account since it’s technically still active with funds.
Steps:
- Log in to EPFO Member Portal .
- Go to “Online Services → Claim (Form-31, 19, 10C)”.
- Select the old PF member ID/account (if visible).
- Choose Final PF Settlement (Form 19) or Partial Withdrawal (Form 31).
- Submit your Aadhaar and bank details (must be verified with UAN).
If the old account isn’t visible, move to Option 2.
Option 2: Raise a Grievance with EPFO
If your old PF account is not visible or withdrawal is not possible online, you can raise a formal grievance to EPFO.
Steps:
- Visit EPFiGMS Grievance Portal .
- Select “Register Grievance.”
- Enter your UAN and contact details.
- Choose your old PF account and describe the issue — mention that your employer deposited the amount post-transfer, and EPFO is not allowing re-transfer.
- Upload supporting documents (salary slips, passbook screenshot, employer confirmation, etc.).
EPFO will route your request to the concerned regional office. Usually, they help manually adjust or process such balances for withdrawal.
Option 3: Contact the Regional PF Office
If the grievance route doesn’t resolve it, visit or email your regional PF office (where your old account was maintained).
Take these with you:
- Aadhaar, PAN, UAN
- Old and new PF account numbers
- Old employer’s PF code
- Copy of the passbook/transaction statement showing the late deposit
You can request a manual withdrawal or offline settlement (Form 19/10C) for the old account.
