Old Company has contributed to Pension but new missed to contribute to Pension fund bec salary crossed 15K

Employee was member of Pension fund but when joined new company with higher salary his consultant did not checked his old PF passbook and missed to contribute to Pension fund, what can be done now ?

Dear Dipak

Please submit a revised Form 3A updating the pension fund and request the concerned EPFO to update the same.

We have done the same in case of employee not covered under pension scheme and we have wrongly deducted and paid as per the info give by the employee at the time of joining.

Dear Deepak

Interest will be credited to that account until it is transferred to the new account. Only catch is if it exceeds 3 years they may discontinue giving interest.

Hi Natarajan,

Can you please help me in this scenario if PF amount should be bifurcated to the pension fund as well.
as per the rule in 2014, new subscribers whose salary is above 15K will not enjoy the pension benefits scheme. what will be the case if the subscriber has had PF but withdrawn taken a break from employment and then started working after 2014.

will they fall into this rule ?

If the PF amount is withdrawn alongwith FPS amount also? Usually EPF allows only withdrawal of EPF contribution and FPS amount is kept aside. In which case you can continue to contribute to FPS to get the pension benefit, even after withdrawing EPF amount and join a new organization after a break.

There is an incident for Mumbai employee that PF Department refused withdrawl showing the same reason. We have to file for the correction form 3A needs to be submitted

I have submitted revised form 3A through employer multiple times and almost more than a year passed, still pass book not updated with pension amount. I have raised grievance but no proper answer. What to do now.? Because of pension amount not credited by previous employer employee is suffering.

If you have filed any grievance there will be some referral number to track its status. You can check with your employer regarding this.
